Boarding ~ Rates and Rules
BOARDING RESERVATION POLICIES:
- A one night deposit is required on all reservations of 2 or more nights' stay. A TWO night deposit is required on all reservations made during holiday weeks and reservations made from June 15th through Labor Day. Refund of deposit only if cancellation is made at least one week prior to check in date. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Checks and Cash. If you book a reservation over a holiday week/weekend at any time during the year OR you book a reservation during the summer season (June 15 through Labor Day), and drop off later than the original drop off date and/or pick up prior to the original pick up date, without a minimum of one week’s notice, you will be charged for the complete original stay including the Holiday night rate.
- All dogs boarding must have proof of up to date Distemper, Parvo and Rabies vaccines. Must also have proof of a negative fecal within one year of boarding date. Titers* are accepted for Distemper, Parvo and Rabies. (*Titers are blood tests that determine whether or not the dog still has immunity to those diseases.)
- Any vaccines given prior to boarding must be given at least 14 days prior to check-in.
- For any extended stay (14 days or longer), a credit card number must be given to keep on file or a minimum of 50% of the total stay (or estimated stay) must be paid upon check-in.
- A local emergency contact must be provided who is willing and able to pick up the dog(s) if necessary. That person must be made aware that they are the contact that will be called.

** Dogs are in for snack/nap time every day from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. No tours or visitors during this time so as not to disturb the dogs while they are napping.
*** Dogs picked up or dropped off outside of regular business hours will be an additional charge of $25.
* Please note that the drop off and pick up hours have been set as such to create the least amount of stress and disruption to the boarding and daycare dogs' (guests') of Canine Cottage and their daily schedule here; as well as to provide flexible morning and afternoon hours for owners (parents) to drop off and pick up their pet. Thank you for your understanding.
General Information
All male dogs must be neutered by the age of 1 year old. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis at the discretion of management.
Female dogs that are not spayed cannot come for daycare or boarding if in season. If they go into season while here for daycare/boarding, they will be isolated from the other dogs and asked to be picked up before the close of business that day.

• Per night cost includes:
- group playtime;
- giving of any medications;
- mid-day and bedtime snack;
- bedding if needed;
- and lots of hugs and kisses during your dog's stay with us!
• Boarding is available 365 days a year.
• There is no check-in or check-out on major holidays. (New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day)
Note: All boarding charges begin on the day of arrival, regardless of drop-off time. There is no charge for the day of departure as long as check-out is by 12:00 noon. After 12:00 noon, a daycare fee of $15 will be charged.
There is a TWO NIGHT minimum stay requirement on weekends from June 22 through Labor Day weekend. A "weekend" is Friday through Sunday. Specifically, we cannot take a reservation for an individual Friday or Saturday night stay. It must be a Friday and Saturday night stay or a Saturday and Sunday night stay (if Monday is a major holiday then it would be till Tuesday). If you need an individual Friday or Saturday night, we can put you on a waiting list and if space is available, you will be notified. Please Note: If you book a reservation during the summer peak season (June 15 through Labor Day weekend ) or during a holiday week/weekend at any time during the year and pick up your pet prior to the original pick up date, you will be charged for the complete stay including the Holiday night rate.
